1950 Tire Wall Clocks Info
Tire wall Clocks
If you were in a gas station in the 1950’s you may have noticed that many of them had something in common: a tire clock. Much like today, salesmen of the time would use items like tire clocks to get gas station owners to listen to their pitches. The owners would often then use the clock as the way to help the mechanics in the garage keep track of the time. Over time these tire clocks became a symbol of an era gone by, and many collectors now clamor to get their hands on a vintage tire clock.
Our Tire Clocks
We carry an assortment of vintage tire clocks that are sure to bring a feel of the 50’s to any room in your home. These tire clocks are made to withstand the test of time and to illuminate any room for a lifetime. All of our vintage tire clocks integrate neon into them, usually through a neon circle on the outside of the numbers on the clock. This brings color and attitude to the clock, and to your room.
The clocks allow you to show your allegiance very easily, as directly on the front of them they let it be known what you stand for. Some reference the classic highway, Route 66, others a company, such as Eagle or Quaker State, and some are more basic.
Customization
Unlike some vintage tire clocks you’ll see, our clocks are customizable. Customers can choose to have either white wall or black wall tires, and can choose whether they’d like to have the neon included in their package or if they’d like to keep the neon out. This makes it possible to have the clock looking exactly the way that you’d like it to look.
These clocks go wonderfully in any room of the home, but most especially in a home garage or even in a professional garage, where they can do what they were meant to do all along: let mechanics know what time it is and, of course, how many hours to bill for!
